The God who orchestrates every detail in the unseen — without our knowing.
What if the events that seem to have nothing to do with
one another were actually part of the same plan?
What if God had already orchestrated everything in the unseen?
A little over two years ago,
I had to borrow €1,000 from a very good friend.
His name is Josué
— Name changed to protect his anonymity.
At that time,
I was already very ill and unable to work.
I asked him for a favor:
not to set a deadline for repayment.
I promised him that I would repay the money
no matter what.
And he simply told me not to worry about it.
Over the following two years,
I found myself thinking about that debt several times.
But I was unable to repay it.
And I wasn’t too worried about it,
since no repayment deadline had been set.
Then, about a month before the events
I am about to tell you about,
I began to feel the weight of that debt.
So I prayed:
“Papa, You Yourself know the situation I am in.
I don’t have the means to repay this debt,
and it is becoming more and more of a burden to me.
You tell us in Your Word not to worry about anything,
but in everything, to make our requests known to You
through prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving.
So Papa, I give this situation to You,
and I choose to remain in Your supernatural peace
while You take care of it.”
Then I simply carried on with my life.
Without knowing
that Papa had already begun to orchestrate the events.
A few days later,
I was contacted by Mr. Poirier
— Name changed to protect his anonymity.
He works for a local organization
and helps me with all my social assistance matters.
He sent me an email asking whether my disability
had been properly taken into account,
because he had the impression that my disability
had not been taken into account
when my social security benefit was calculated.
So we checked together.
And we discovered that I had actually only received
this benefit for three months.
So we asked for my case to be reviewed.
After sending that request,
I did a little calculation,
and I thought I would receive around €1,100
in benefits from social security.
I was so happy.
I couldn’t stop thanking God
for what already seemed to me to be
an incredible miracle.
But I didn’t know yet
that this was not all.
In the meantime,
my friend Maria told me about the financial difficulties
her sister Béatrice was facing.
— The first names changed to protect their anonymity.
Maria confided in me that Béatrice was at risk
of becoming homeless with her two daughters.
She didn’t even have the means
to enroll her children in school that year.
I was deeply touched by their situation.
I would have loved so much to be able to help them.
But I didn’t know what to do.
So I prayed for them
and placed them in the hands of my Father.
“Papa,
the situation Béatrice and her daughters
are going through breaks my heart.
I would so much like to help them,
but You Yourself know how limited I am financially.
Papa, I may be limited, but You are not.
Please come to her aid,
and show me how I can be a blessing to her.
Use me to manifest Your glory in her life
and in the lives of her daughters.”
Then I waited.
Two weeks after sending our request for a review,
I opened my banking app to make a transaction.
And then…
total shock.
The balance in my account did not correspond at all
to what I had seen the last time.
I didn’t understand anything.
The numbers made no sense.
Instinctively,
I put my phone down.
I wondered what was happening.
Then I understood.
The social security had just transferred…
€2,299.51!
I was shocked.
I wondered whether it was a mistake.
I wanted to rejoice and give thanks,
but at the same time,
I was afraid it might only be a dream.
The next day,
I received the letter from social security.
It explained the calculations
and confirmed the amount that had just been deposited
into my account.
So I gave thanks to my Father
and praised Him.
He had not only answered my prayer.
He had given me a double portion.
I had expected to receive around €1,100.
But the Lord had given me €2,299.51.
I couldn’t stop repeating these words,
over and over again, through my tears:
“Double portion.”
“Double portion.”
“Double portion.”
And then,
the Holy Spirit reminded me of this passage from the Bible
where the Lord restored to Job
everything the enemy had taken from him,
and even more:
“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job,
when he prayed for his friends:
also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
— Job 42:10 (KJV)
After giving thanks to Papa,
I transferred the money to my friend Josué
to repay my debt.
A few days later,
my friend Josué called me
and came to visit me.
He told me how shocked he had been
when he opened his banking app the day before.
And I burst out laughing,
because it reminded me of my own shock
when I opened my app.
I simply replied:
“I know that feeling.”
He looked at me and asked:
“Danie, I know your situation and what you are going through.
Where did you get the money to pay me back?”
So I told him about the events of the previous days:
how I had prayed
and asked my Father to help me
so that I could repay this debt.
And that was the miracle that came from it.
Then he said to me:
“You know you didn’t have to repay me, Danie.
For me, when you asked me not to set a repayment deadline,
I had decided to consider this money a gift.
And so, I was no longer expecting you to repay me.”
I replied:
“For me, I never considered this money a gift,
but a loan.
If I had wanted a gift,
I would have asked you for a gift.
But I had asked for a loan,
and therefore I was obligated to repay it,
no matter how long it took.”
He looked at me in silence for a long time.
Then he said:
“I have never seen such integrity in my life.
Someone else would have used their illness
as an excuse not to keep their commitments.
But not you.
And that is what I appreciate most about you.”
Then he asked me:
“How do you do that?”
I laughed
and told him:
“It’s the Lord who teaches and shapes me.”
Then he explained that,
when he opened his account,
and saw the transfer I had made,
he decided to send the money back to me.
And then…
I burst into tears again
at the goodness of my Father.
This time,
He had worked through my friend Josué
to bless me again.
I thanked Him so much for it.
I hugged my friend
and also thanked him warmly
for this unexpected act of generosity.
After that visit,
I asked my Father
what He wanted me to do with this money.
And immediately,
the image of Béatrice came to my mind.
I asked Him how much He wanted me to give her
to help her.
But I received no answer.
So I called Béatrice.
It was only two days later
that I finally managed to reach her by phone.
She told me that she had not wanted to tell me
about the difficulties she was facing,
because she also knew how difficult my health situation was.
As we talked,
I understood that enrolling her children in school
was a burden for her,
but that there was something even more urgent:
she had to leave the apartment
where she was currently living with her daughters
within a few days.
It was Tuesday afternoon,
and they had to have the apartment completely
emptied by Friday.
But she was unable to rent a new apartment,
because three months’ rent had to be paid in advance.
She was also angry with her older sister,
who, in her view, had the means to lend her this money,
but refused to do her this favor.
She was desperate
and completely exhausted.
I asked her how much she would need
to be able to rent an apartment.
She told me the amount.
And then,
in the middle of that conversation,
I clearly heard the Lord speak to me, gently:
“Give it to her.”
Then the call was disconnected.
So I made the transfer,
just as the Lord had asked me to,
and called Béatrice back.
She was in tears
and couldn’t believe what had just happened.
She kept saying:
“I don’t understand.”
“I don’t understand.”
“I don’t understand.”
I simply told her
that this was the answer to her prayers.
That this help came from God,
who had chosen to act through me
to bless her.
And even though I could not solve
all the difficulties she was facing,
I would continue to pray
that our Lord would continue to touch
the hearts of the people around her.
The day after that call,
she told me that, by the grace of God,
she had found a new apartment.
The landlord had promised
to have the apartment repainted the next day.
On Saturday,
she sent me a video of her daughters in the apartment,
with their belongings scattered everywhere,
but happy to have a roof over their heads.
Once again,
our Lord had shown us
His goodness and His faithfulness.
As I was praying,
thanking my Father for everything
that had happened over the previous few days,
He showed me this:
He had not allowed the help for Béatrice
to come through her older sister,
because He did not want her to take the glory
for what He was doing.
Furthermore,
that help would have come with a burden for Béatrice,
because she would have had to repay the debt.
In His goodness and His love for Béatrice,
He had decided to close that door.
And what she had considered to be wickedness
on the part of her sister
was actually protection that God had allowed.
After closing that door,
He opened another:
the one He had prepared for her through me.
But it required time
and for every element to fall into place at the right moment,
so that He could reveal to her
the miracle He had been preparing for her for a long time.
It had to happen that the debt I had taken on
would become a concern so that I would pray about it.
It had to happen that God, after my prayer,
would speak to Mr. Poirier and put it on his heart
to have my case reviewed by social security.
It had to happen that Mr. Poirier would contact me
and that together we would request a review.
It had to happen that social security would review my case
and pay me the benefits that were owed to me.
It had to happen that I would repay the debt
I had to my friend Josué.
It had to happen that my integrity would deeply touch Josué
and that he would decide to return the money to me.
It had to happen that I would ask Papa
what He wanted me to do with this money.
It had to happen that Maria would tell me about Béatrice,
because Béatrice herself would never have told me.
It had to happen that I would call Béatrice
so that she herself could tell me how much money she needed.
It had to happen that I would transfer the money to her.
It had to happen that all of this would happen
at the precise moment when Béatrice needed it.
Each of these events had to happen
in a specific order
and at the right moment.
Each one of these events shows us the
Sovereignty,
Majesty,
Power
of our God.
Yes,
truly,
our God is sovereign
and He is in control of everything.
Our God is the greatest conductor!
He orchestrated every event,
from beginning to end,
so that His blessing would reach Béatrice
at the precise moment
He had appointed beforehand.
She received the help she needed
on Tuesday afternoon,
even though she had to have the apartment emptied by Friday.
On Wednesday evening,
she found an apartment.
On Thursday,
the new landlord had the apartment repainted.
On Saturday,
she moved into her new apartment with her daughters,
her heart filled with joy and praise
for the goodness and faithfulness of our God.
Sometimes,
we pray and feel as though God does not see us
or that He does not hear our prayers.
This is a lie from the enemy,
designed to make us doubt
the goodness and faithfulness
of our God and Father.
If God seems to be taking too long
from your perspective,
I simply want to remind you
that He is already at work,
without you even realizing it,
and that He is orchestrating everything
for His greater glory.
“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time:
also he hath set the world in their heart,
so that no man can find out the work
that God maketh from the beginning to the end.“
— Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV)
