A simple act. An answered prayer. God’s perfect timing.

Sometimes, what we consider a simple gesture…
is actually the answer to someone else’s prayer.

That day,
I was driving home.

It was late in the morning.

I was tired.

I was looking forward
to finally getting home.

Outside, the heat was overwhelming.

Even with the air conditioning on,
I could still feel the 40-degree heat.

I simply wanted to get home.

But suddenly,
I noticed a woman from my neighborhood.

She was walking along the side of the road,
heading in the same direction as me.

And at that exact moment…

I heard this gentle voice in my heart:

“Stop.
Offer her a ride.”

But immediately,
other thoughts came:

She will probably refuse…

You are tired…

You are in a hurry…

Just keep driving…

For a few seconds,
a real battle took place within me.

Then I made a decision.

I would obey.

I stopped.

I called out to her.

And I offered her
to get into the car.

To my surprise,
she accepted immediately.

As soon as she sat down in the car,
she began praising God.

Again.

And again.

She said:

“God exists!
God hears prayers!
God still performs miracles today!”

Throughout the entire drive,
she did not stop thanking the Lord.

I still did not understand why.

Then she told me her story.

Before leaving her house,
she had entrusted her situation to the Lord.

She had told Him
that she was exhausted.

That she did not know
how she would manage
to walk such a long distance in that heat…

or climb the steep hill
that led back to her home.

So she simply placed the situation
into God’s hands.

She prayed.

And she waited.

Then God answered her…

by sending someone across her path.

As I listened to her,
my heart was deeply touched.

What was only a small stop for me…

was a direct answer
to a prayer for her.

I thought
I was simply helping someone.

But God was doing something
much greater.

When I arrived back home,
the Holy Spirit reminded me of a truth:

“Our obedience, even in the smallest things,
opens the door for God to move.”

And I asked myself:

How many blessings do we miss
because we ignore that gentle voice?

How many miracles could be born…

from one simple act of obedience?

God is alive.

He is still working today.

He hears the prayers of His children.

And sometimes,
He simply chooses ordinary people…

who are willing to say to Him:

“Yes Lord, I am listening.”

Even today,
I thank God
for allowing me to be an instrument in His hands.

My prayer is
that He always keeps my heart sensitive
to His voice.

So that whenever He desires,
He can use me
to bless someone.

Let us never forget:

God’s miracles do not only happen
in the big moments.

Sometimes…
they begin with a simple decision.

A small gesture.

A moment of obedience.

Because a heart
that listens to God…

can become the answer to someone’s prayer.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,
Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?
Then said I, Here am I; send me.“

When God’s protection is stronger than death.

That day, we should have died.
And yet…
God was already there before the very first impact.

This story happened about twenty years ago.

At that time,
I was studying medicine in Madagascar.

During that season of my life,
I met a young woman who lived in a Christian community
in the city of Antsirabe.

One day,
she invited me to spend a few days with her community.

After our stay there,
we planned to return together to Antananarivo,
where I was living at the time.

She needed to pick up several sisters from the airport.

So we set off in a minibus.

A driver from the community was at the wheel.

My friend and I were sitting in the back,
talking peacefully together.

It was a rainy day.

The sky was gray,
and the road was wet and slippery.

But suddenly,
a strange feeling came over me.

Like a strange déjà vu.

Like a warning.

For a moment,
I felt as if I already knew what was about to happen.

Everything inside me became restless.

Then I suddenly said to my friend:

“Be careful…
we are going to have an accident.”

At that exact moment,
instinctively,
I pulled her down between the seats.

Only seconds later, it happened.

The driver lost control.

The minibus began to skid,
rolled over several times,
and finally crashed down a ravine beside the road.

Everything happened so fast.

The noise.
The chaos.
The shattered glass.
The screams.

Then silence.

Still in shock,
we tried to understand what had just happened.

People came running to help us out of the vehicle.

We were trembling.

Everyone was trying to see
whether anyone had been seriously injured.

But to our complete astonishment,
we had only minor injuries.

A few scratches.
A sore arm here and there.
I myself had lightly hit my head.

Nothing more.

Later,
when we saw the vehicle,
we stood there speechless.

The minibus was completely destroyed.

Crushed.
Twisted.
Almost unrecognizable.

We looked at one another,
unable to grasp

how anyone could possibly have survived such an accident.

And even less,

how we had come out of it almost unharmed.

Deep in my heart, I knew:

This was not mere chance.

After everything had been taken care of,
we continued our journey by public bus.

My friend insisted that I should have my head examined.

But I reassured her and explained
that my roommates were doctors
and could check on me later.

Only once I was alone again in my room did the full weight
of what had happened fall upon me.

I sank to the floor.

Curled up in the corner of my room,
I began to tremble and cry.

Not out of fear.

But because I suddenly realized
what had just happened.

God had protected us.

In the middle of the chaos.
In the face of death.
In the accident itself.

His hand had been over us.

No one should have walked away alive
from a vehicle in such a condition.

And yet,
by the grace of God,
we were still alive.

At that moment,
there was only one thing left for me to do:

To thank God with all my heart.

For I now knew:
God had been our refuge and our fortress.

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee,
to keep thee in all thy ways.“
— Psalm 91:11 (KJV)

As everything around me seemed to fall apart,
the Lord gently wiped away my tears.

In 2022, my mother —
may she rest in peace —
suffered an ischemic stroke.

For nearly a month,
our lives revolved around hospital corridors,
medical examinations,
and endless bills that seemed impossible to pay.

Day after day,
my strength began to fade.

Physically.

Emotionally.

Financially.

Every night before falling asleep,
I kept repeating the words of Psalm 27:14:

“Wait on the Lord:
be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord.”
— Psalm 27:14 (KJV)

That prayer became my refuge.

Deep inside,
I could feel my strength slowly slipping away.

Then came the day
when we thought my mother’s condition was finally improving.

But to my horror,
I noticed that her legs had become swollen
and bluish in color.

After examining her,
the doctor suspected thrombosis.

A Doppler ultrasound examination had to be done urgently
to confirm the diagnosis.

But when I arrived at the cashier
and heard the cost of the examination,
something inside me collapsed.

I barely had any money left.

I stood there
in front of the cashier,
unable to hold back my tears.

I cried uncontrollably.

I felt overwhelmed by everything.

By the pain.

By the fear.

By this burden
that had become too heavy
for my young shoulders to carry.

In that moment of distress,
I cried out to the Lord.

I said:

“Lord…
do You not see
that I am too young
to carry such a burden?”

Then I simply asked Him
to calm my heart
and give me the strength to keep going.

And at that very moment,

God intervened.

The cashier —
a woman in her fifties —
gently called me over and said:

“My daughter,
I do not know the trials you are going through…
but seeing you cry
touched the heart of the mother in me.

My sister is the head doctor in radiology.
I will call her for you.”

A few moments later,
thanks to this woman
whom God had placed on our path,
we were able to do the examination at almost no cost.

That day,
in the middle of my weakness,
the Lord reminded me of a truth:

God never abandons His children.

In my distress,
I lifted my eyes to the Lord,
and He sent me help.

As written in Psalm 121:

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.”
— Psalm 121:1–2 (KJV)

A few months later,
I lost my mother.

The pain of that loss
still remains in my heart today.

But despite this trial,
I will never forget that moment.

That moment
when God once again

showed Himself faithful.

That moment
when He cared for me
through the love and compassion of a stranger —
a woman whom I still consider an angel to this day.

Even today,
I can still testify to this truth:

The Lord never abandons His children.

“Wait on the Lord:
be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord.”

When God closes one door to open a greater blessing.

II believed everything depended on our own efforts.
But God wanted to show me that
it was He who had been taking care of us from the very beginning.

When I arrived in Toledo, Spain,
I carried a deep desire in my heart:

To work the land.

To grow organic vegetables
to feed my community.

Soon afterward, God allowed someone
to lend us a piece of land.

My heart was filled with joy.

With excitement,
we sowed, planted, watered,
and worked the soil day after day.

And little by little,

life began to grow.

Tomatoes.
Lettuce.
Zucchinis.

The harvests became abundant.

I looked at that garden with pride.

Deep inside,

I believed those results came mostly
from our own efforts.

From our hard work.

From what we had built ourselves.

Then one day,

completely out of nowhere,

the owner took the land back.

Everything stopped suddenly.

My heart broke.

I did not understand.

Why had God allowed us
to experience such joy,
only to take it away again?

For a long time,

my heart remained trapped

in sadness,

in confusion,

and in complaint.

But without me realizing it,

God was already at work.

Every weekend,

a fruit and vegetable seller
generously gave us
his unsold produce,

still fresh and in good condition.

And every single time,

we received exactly
what we needed.

Sometimes even more.

Yet my thoughts remained fixed
on the garden we had lost.

I still could not see

that God was taking care of us
in a far greater way

than anything we could have produced
through our own strength.

Then one day,
in the middle of a conversation,

the Word of God
deeply touched my heart:

“Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap…
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.”
— Matthew 6:26

At that moment,

something opened inside me.

I suddenly understood

that from the very beginning,

it had been God Himself
providing for our needs.

Not because of our efforts.

Not because of our merits.

But only because of His grace
and His faithfulness.

That revelation shook my heart deeply.

I began to cry.

Tears of gratitude.

Tears of joy.

Where I saw loss,

God was already preparing
a greater blessing.

Where I thought we had been abandoned,

He was already caring for us
with love.

And the Lord did not stop there.

Some time later,

another owner
offered us a new garden.

An even better one.

The soil had already been prepared.

The garden was already ready.

And someone was even taking care
of watering the garden
and watching over the crops.

As I look back on this journey today,

I can testify to one thing:

God is faithful.

He knows exactly
what we need

even before we ask Him.

Sometimes,

He closes one door
to lead us toward an even greater blessing.

Today, I give thanks to the Lord,

because He never stops
providing for our needs —

far beyond

anything we could hope
or imagine.

“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not,
neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they?“

Fear, tears and an unexpected miracle.

The doctors had no more hope.
But God had the final say.

I give all the glory to God
for what He did during my pregnancy
and childbirth.

Everything began on December 1st.

I was 31 weeks pregnant
when a simple medical checkup
turned our world upside down.

From that moment on,
the news became more and more alarming.

The doctors gave us diagnosis
after diagnosis.

A concerning difference
between the baby’s head and abdomen.

Abnormal pressure in the brain.

Fluid in the stomach.

A suspicion of toxoplasmosis.

Anemia.

And then the words I feared most:

premature cesarean section.

Every day
felt heavier.

Every day
brought a new fear.

My husband and I…

we were broken.

Exhausted.
Overwhelmed.
In tears.

Every day seemed to bring another reason to fear.

There were Tears.

Emotional exhaustion.

Uncertainty.

And there was this silent fear
that never seemed to leave us.

From a human point of view…
everything seemed lost.

But in the middle of that storm…

God was there.

Silent.
But present.

He sustained me.

While everything around me
seemed to be falling apart,
He gave me a peace
I cannot explain it in human terms.

So I held on.

To His Word.

Especially to this verse:

“Be still,
and know that I am God.”
— Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

I decided to pray.

To worship.

To trust.

Even when
everything said otherwise.

And little by little…

things began to change.

Not all at once.

But slowly.

The blood pressure decreased.

The fluid in the baby’s stomach disappeared.

The results stabilized.

Where the doctors saw danger…

God was already at work.

While a premature cesarean
was being considered,

God completely turned the situation around.

And then…

I was even able to leave the hospital
and continue the monitoring from home.

And at every step…

God confirmed His faithfulness.

Then came the day
God had already placed on my heart:

37 weeks.

Exactly
as He had shown me.

Labor began.

Fast.

Intense.

At 8 centimeters dilated,
everything accelerated.

The pain was there.
But so was God.

He strengthened me.

And I gave birth.

Naturally.

Without complications.

Today…

my daughter is 2 years old.

And she is perfectly healthy.

What the doctors had called risky—
even impossible…

God transformed it.

Into a testimony.

Of His power.

Yes…

God is faithful.

He heals.
He restores.
He turns things around.

Through this trial…

He taught me
to depend completely on Him.

He taught me
to trust Him.

Even when
everything seemed lost.

Even when
everything said otherwise.

To Him alone be all the glory.

“Be still,
and know that I am God.”
